AI is taking over every area of our lives - including the media.

There is new news in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) every day. It is increasingly permeating all areas of life, including journalism and the media.

Since tools like ChatGPT and Gemini have been available to the general public, the hype around AI has increased significantly. At the beginning of 2023, I also started to look into AI intensively. I noticed that there is a lot of information about AI, but little about its influence on journalism and media. That's why I launched the newsletter 'The AI Journalist'. I have now expanded my offering and offer training courses, workshops and digital instructions for journalists and media professionals.

I'll answer the most important question right away: No, AI will not replace journalists and media professionals in the future. Rather, specialists who can use AI competently will become increasingly in demand.

My main goal is to raise awareness of AI among journalists and media professionals while pointing out potential risks. AI will not write our texts or do our research. However, it will be a powerful assistant that will take a lot of work off our hands and enable us to work more efficiently. With AI, we can focus on our core tasks again: conducting thorough research, talking to people and telling good stories.
